My name is Claudio Corrao, and I am the founder and producer behind the studio.

Science has always been more than an interest to me. From the smallest organisms to the vastness of space, it represents a lifelong curiosity about how the universe works. It's a way of exploring our world and discovering new ways to improve our lives. Filmmaking became the way I chose to contribute to it, share this curiosity, and connect with the people behind the breakthroughs.

Originally from Italy, I've also lived in Australia and Sweden before making the Netherlands my home. Working across different industries and countries taught me how people learn, how to communicate complex ideas, and how to adapt that communication depending on the audience.

With Storybrewers Films, I set out to bring science closer to as many people as possible and inspire the same sense of wonder, curiosity, and discovery that I’ve had for as long as I can remember.

Storybrewers Films is a science communication studio based in Rotterdam.

We combine scientific literacy with video production to help organisations communicate science with clarity, accuracy, and visual craft.

As a one-man studio, Claudio personally directs and produces every project, from concept to delivery.

Every production begins by understanding your communication goals, your audience, and the story you want to tell. For larger or more specialised work, the studio collaborates with a trusted network of creatives and scientific advisors to bring together the right skills for your specific needs, while giving you a single point of contact throughout the process.

Creating a film is a complex process with many different ingredients. It is as much a science as it is an art.

Every word, every shot, every sound, and countless other details all play their part.
Individually, they mean very little. It's only when they come together through craft that the essence of the story begins to emerge.

Our Purpose

Science allows us to better understand ourselves, our planet, and the universe beyond. It helps protect biodiversity, improve human health, develop sustainable technologies, and push the limits of exploration.

In the documentary Conserving Wonder, Sir David Attenborough said:

"If children don't grow up knowing about nature and appreciating it, they won't understand it, and if they don't understand it, they won't protect it."
